Schwarzman Animal Medical Center Expands Internal Medicine Service

Abigail Thomson, DVM, DACVIM, Joins as Senior Veterinarian

The Stephen & Christine Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC), the largest non-profit animal hospital in the world, today announced the expansion of its Internal Medicine Service with the appointment of Abigail Thomson, DVM, DACVIM, as Senior Veterinarian.

Dr. Abigail Thomson earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University. She then completed a rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery as well as a specialty internship in Anesthesia and Pain Management both at the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center.  This was followed by a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota. Following residency, Dr. Thomson worked as an Internal Medicine Specialist at Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota, a large veterinary referral hospital near the Twin Cities.  Dr. Thomson is board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
