Dr. Atalie Delgado grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and is the oldest of three children. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in 2015 after which she spent a year working in a small animal veterinary clinic gaining additional experience in small animal medicine. She then went on to obtain her degree in veterinary medicine from St. George’s University, Grenada, West Indies. Her education brought her back to the states for her clinical year training at Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Upon graduation in 2020, she then completed a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at Med Vet Chicago. Dr. Delgado has elected to further her education by pursuing a residency in emergency and critical care and she is excited to be joining the AMC family. She maintains a special interest in respiratory emergencies, sepsis, and transfusion medicine. Her favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is being able to use her Spanish-speaking abilities to connect with clients of different socio-economic backgrounds while practicing quality medicine to her patients.
In Dr. Delgado’s free time, she enjoys exploring New York City with her island pup Juniper, working out, listening to podcasts, and traveling.
