Schwarzman Animal Medical Center Expands Cardiology Service Adding Two Board Certified Cardiologists

(October 3, 2022 – New York, N.Y.) The Stephen & Christine Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC), the largest non-profit animal hospital in the world, today announced the expansion of its Cardiology service with the appointment of Samantha Kochie, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Cardiology) and Carl Toborowsky, MS, MA, VMD, DACVIM (Cardiology) as Senior Veterinarians.

AMC’s renowned team of cardiologists rapidly diagnose and effectively manage heart failure and many other diseases that may develop during a pet’s life utilizing state-of-the- art technology, including echocardiography and doppler echocardiography.

Dr. Samantha Kochie most recently served as a Staff Clinician in Cardiology at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus, NJ. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbus, OH and completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at Tufts University Foster Hospital for Small Animals in North Grafton, MA. Dr. Kochie then returned to Ohio State to complete a Cardiology Residency.

Dr. Carl Toborowsky earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He completed a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, DC, followed by a Cardiology Specialty Internship at BluePearl Partners in Southfield, MI. Dr. Toborowsky then completed a Cardiology Residency at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
