Gift of Love Capital Campaign Launch
Gift of Love Capital Campaign Launch
The Animal Medical Center (AMC), the world’s largest non-profit animal hospital, has launched the public phase of its $70 million Gift of Love capital campaign, the largest campaign in the institution’s nearly 110-year history. The fundraising effort has already raised over 60 percent of its goal from 50 leadership donors.
The dual focus of AMC’s Gift of Love capital campaign is to dramatically transform and renovate the 60-year old building by updating more than 26,000 square feet of existing clinical and client space, while expanding the hospital by more than 11,000 square feet. These improvements will enable AMC to meet the increased demand for patient care, enhance its coveted postgraduate veterinary education program, and strengthen its cutting-edge research on naturally occurring diseases.
More than 100 supporters, medical center staff, and friends celebrated the $70 million campaign launch on the 21st floor of The Bentley Hotel, located next door to the Animal Medical Center. CEO, Kate Coyne, and Chairman of the Board, Bobby Liberman, unveiled the future model of the renovated building exterior, and announced that more than $43 million has been raised to date. Ms. Coyne and Mr. Liberman also acknowledged those who have contributed to the campaign’s success so far, and whose names are inscribed on the six-foot tall “Wall of Love” which was also unveiled at the celebratory event on October 22nd.
