About the Housekeeper Role

The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC) is looking for a Housekeeper that will be responsible for maintaining the overall general housekeeping of the hospital.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Sanitize clinic spaces, restrooms, and replace bathroom supplies
  • Dust, mop, and wipe daily staircases and hallways
  • Trash and medical waste disposal
  • Move furniture (i.e. tables, chairs, file cabinets) up to 50lbs
  • Provide support for inclement weather duties, including providing umbrella bags, setting up slip protection mats, and shoveling / salting the perimeter of building
  • Set up for events

Qualifications:

  • High School/GED
  • Janitorial Service Certificate of Education is a plus
  • Ability to read and understand signs and labels written in English
  • Some similar experience preferred
  • Ability to be flexible and able to perform more than one task at a time
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to operate tools and equipment used in janitorial work
  • Must have knowledge of proper use and care of mechanical cleaning equipment
  • Knowledge of OSHA and Safety requirements

  • $15.30 per hour – $18.80 per hour with additional float pay
